Why You Should Use Firefox
Written by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on 12:27 AMI personally like firefox as much as i like my computer. It doesn't sucks as other browser. But maybe you need a little more extra facts in order to switch to firefox, aren't you?. Here are some of coolest facts that firefox has.
Improved Tab Browsing
Why bother open new window for a new website we want to visit. Using tabs make it more efficient browsing as many site as you can. Firefox tabs is even more fun. Suppose you have too many tabs open and you just can't switch to another tab, just click on the button on upper right corner and you will get an easy-to-read list of all your open tabs.
Damn!! I accidentally close a tab. I don't remember the link address, what should i do? Don't worry, just go to the History menu to bring it back from the list of "Recently Closed Tabs" then select the desired one. Another funtastic way is right click on whatever tab and select "Undo Close Tab". Magic works!
Spell Checking
Very handy when you get a rush. Firefox 2 has built-in spell checking to keep you from making any mistakes in your blog post or web base email. You don't have to worry again. Firefox do its job.
Search Suggestions
Firefox can read your mind and suggest search terms for what you're looking for. Simply typing into the Search Bar, and a drop down list of suggestions will appear. You may select your search by using any search engine like Google, Yahoo, Answer, or Wikipedia.
Session Restore
Linux is stable and i proof that with my 6 months uptime of my desktop, doing my daily work. Okay, it freeze sometime, but i simply just terminate the zombie process by firing killall command so the system is never have to reboot everytime i get stuck. And that is rarely happen to firefox too though. After killing firefox i start it over again and wow.. firefox restore all of my tabs, even in-progress downloads i had running and the text i typed into forms. Cool!! . You can even set Firefox ( version 2 or higher ) to always restore your previous session instead of loading the default home page, so you'll never lose place again.
Web Feeds (RSS)
There are huge of feed reader program out there. But why not integrate it with firefox? Firefox givis you full control over web feeds, showing you a preview and letting you choose how you want to subscribe.
Live Titles
Keep an eye on that auction or the status of a delivery using the new Live Titles feature in Firefox 2. Compact enough to fit as a bookmark label, Live Titles are regularly updated summaries of the most important information on a Web page.
